Chef Jessica Anderson


I have always found food to be fascinating. From creating simple, home-cooked meals, to catering elaborate dinner parties, I love that there will always be something new to learn and explore in the culinary world. I have been cooking for the majority of my life, and being inspired by food has allowed me to express myself, and show my love for others through my creations. 

I am a certified RED SEAL Chef who graduated the Culinary Management program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario and studied abroad in Strasbourg, France for three months, where I completed an internship at a Michelin star restaurant. I have worked in catering, medical facilities, a variety of restaurants in both management and cook positions, and have worked private for just under four years. I have also taught at a private culinary college, as well as teaching recreational classes to the public. I have studied classic cooking methods, as well as different ethnicities and styles. I am certified in basic raw food preparation, and I am continuously studying nutrition and how to cook for those who have specific dietary needs and food sensitivities. I am constantly researching and learning to better myself as a chef, as well as constructing recipes and menus to add to my portfolio.

Home Food Solutions by Jess has been running for just about six years, and provides a wide variety of services such as catering, cooking classes (private and public), care packages, recipe and menu writing/development, and so much more.

I am passionate about creating fresh and delicious meals for you, your friends and family. I am offering my services as a private/personal chef in Simcoe County and Muskoka, Ontario, and I am very dedicated to provide you with the very best I can offer.
